Fiction Critique from a Legal Perspective

Item Name/Description: I will read up to 50 manuscript-formatted pages [*] of a fiction work or of a description of a fictional scenario and give you my opinion of it from a legal perspective, within two weeks of receipt.

I cannot give you legal advice and am unlikely to be able to nitpick specific details of an existing legal system (see below for the exceptions). However, I can tell you whether your fictional legal system makes sense to a lawyer, or how your lawyer character might act, or maybe even how to handwave nonsensical legal proceedings or bad lawyering if they're necessary to your plot.

I am a lawyer: I graduated from Yale Law School in 2002, and since then, I have been practicing civil litigation in New York's state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels. I can also give general comments on criminal, estate, family, and intellectual property law. Other areas, please ask.

[*] Double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman or Courier.

Starting Bid: $15.

Auction Ending: Monday, April 13, 8:00 p.m. Eastern.

Notes: You can redeem this offer for up to a year (or probably more, but touch base with me just to make sure I haven't quit law in disgust or something).
