"Gears" candle

Item Name/Description:
One steampunk candle.  Hand-carved (by me), hand-poured in two colors (by [info]voidmonster).  It's a pillar candle (stands by itself), 2-inches in diameter, and about 4 inches tall.  Burns cleanly, and should go for over 12 hours straight.

The brown/green double pour resembles old bronze; the carving is of a gear assembly, with gears showing under "plates" held together with carved "screws".  Design inspired by images of old pocket watches.  Looks like this:

Literature Dragon candle

Item Name/Description:
One dragon candle. Hand-carved (by me), hand-poured in two colors (by [info]voidmonster). It's a pillar candle (stands by itself), 2-inches in diameter, and about 4 inches tall. Burns cleanly, and should go for over 12 hours straight.

Carving goes all around the candle. It's based on a Vietnamese dragon image from the Ly Dynasty (1010-1225), because... well, because I think it's one of the most stunningly beautiful dragon images I've ever seen, and I'm rather in love with the stylization (for example, the body has 12 curves, one for each month).

As you can probably see, this took me something like forever.  Do click on the image for a larger one, if you can handle a 2.8 meg image...

Auction: Spigot Cane

Item Name/Description: Steampunk Spigot Cane - Just imagine, your airship has crashed and you and your fellow adventurers are parched. With this walking stick handy, all you need is a likely spot - perhaps that little bit of depressed earth right over there. Plant your stick firmly, and open the spigot for a rush of clean, cool water.

This is a functional walking stick, for all of its whimsy. The shaft is 3/4" diameter solid oak, and the finial and spigot handle are both brass.

Starting Bid: $25

Auction Ending: Midnight, March 31, 2009

Notes: Fully functional and anatomically correct walking sticks require customization. I can make this to a standard height if you just want it for pretties but I can also accommodate height preference for this thing to be useful.
