Offer: First edition of The Witches of Karres

Item Name & Description: A first edition of James H. Schmitz' The Witches of Karres, published by Chilton, with a cover by Leo and Diane Dillon.

This is a third printing, not a first, but the three printings of this edition are identical except for the printing number and the ads on the back of the jacket. If you really, really, want a first printing, I do have one - e-mail me and maybe we can work something out (said working out would of course include a hefty donation to Con Or Bust).

As you can see (in the pictures under the cut), the book is not in perfect condition. The jacket has a small hole and some scuff marks on the front (not on important areas), a small tear on the back, and some rubbing. The book has very light foxing on the edges of the page block, but the interior is in very nice condition. And, unlike many copies of this edition, it is not an ex-library copy.

ETA: I forgot to mention that the jacket is in a protective Brodart cover.

Starting Bid: $25

Notes: I will mail the book within 2-3 days of notification of payment. I will mail it for free in the US. I will mail it anywhere else the USPS will let me, but I will require reimbursement for postage costs over $5 (this would be about $5 more to Canada and $13 more to the UK or Australia - international shipping has unfortunately gotten expensive). If the bidding goes high enough I may decide to waive this (I will say so here if so).
