Sorry I was late in opening the Google Docs form; colicky baby made me forget the date.

This post has full details, but let me just address a couple of FAQs quickly: you can request assistance if you've received it before, if you're outside the U.S. or the con is outside the U.S., and whether or not you intend to be on programming at the con. I prioritize requests based on helping the most people, if necessary, but you're not automatically ruled out because of prior assistance or amount of need (and what you intend to do at the con has nothing to do with it, as long as you don't intend to hide in your room).

Offer: short story critiques by Nisi Shawl

Item Name & Description: three short story critiques by Nisi Shawl.

More specifically, according to Nisi, "A short story critique on a story of up to 8000 words. Written critique offered on story delivered to me electronically or in print. I don't do this much, but when I do it for money I charge about $40/hour."

Nisi won the Tiptree Award for her collection Filter House and has been nominated for two World Fantasy Awards.

Starting Bid: $25. The top three bidders will win a critique; bid in one thread, please.

Notes: "The timing will be negotiated with the winners, but will most likely range between one and five weeks between my receipt of the story to be critiqued and receipt of my critique."
