Notes: Non-smoking household, but we do have a dog and a cat (they haven't gotten to the Guide, but just in case. :D) The Program Guide is in Very Good/Like New condition-- some "denting" on the cover, but that's the way I got it, and it's actually non-read! offer: homemade snickerdoodles by mail

Item Name & Description: SNICKERDOODLES.

I make snickerdoodles -- from scratch, with love, and very very well thank you.  (Perhaps you remember last year's epic bid war?)  I am skilled at both omni and vegan snickerdoodles.

I will make 2 dozen snickerdoodles (your choice of omni or vegan) and mail them to the TOP 3 BIDDERS.  Depending how high the bidding goes, i will consider making snickerdoodles for more bidders than that -- check back for edits to this post if that happens.

Starting Bid: $5

Notes: I will mail these anywhere on planet Earth between now and WisCon.  Last year i was wary of mailing them outside of the U.S., but a little experimentation has revealed that, for example, they can arrive in fine condition when mailed across oceans -- altho' we should discuss how to optimize the calendar to our mutual advantage, because sending a box of cookies to the U.K. when (a) there's a bank holiday and then (b) a royal wedding may result in somewhat stale snickerdoodles crumbs.  I'm assured they were, nevertheless, tasty stale snickerdoodle crumbs (i recommend combining with vanilla ice cream!), but let us try to avoid that anyway.

No, delivery at WisCon is not available.  If you'd like snickerdoodles at WisCon, please purchase some from the Tiptree bake sale.  ;)

Con or Bust status

First: the auction ends this coming Sunday, February 26th, at 11:59 p.m. EST. There is no Sunday the 25th, as all the prior boilerplate said. (D'oh!)

Second: last year we raised about $9,300 (about $7,000 of that in auction bids). This year, of course, is the first full year that Con or Bust is helping fans of color/non-white fans attend any con year-round, not just WisCon. And so, I'm setting this year's fundraising goal at $12,000, or roughly 25% more than last year's total. We're ahead of last year's auction pace (the current total of high bids is approximately $5,000), and so I think that's fairly realistic . . . .

Third: . . . as long as people keep bidding (check out the index!), listing items for auction (it's only too late when the auction closes!), donating con memberships (e-mail me at knepveu@steelypips.org), and donating money with a PayPal account or a credit card:

There's still a long way to go and plenty of time left.

Fourth: requests for assistance to attend cons whose start dates are in April, May, or June are being taken through February 25 (instructions). Please don't let imposter syndrome or pessimism over your chances or anything else stop you from requesting assistance if you're interested!

Fifth: thank you for all your help and generosity so far, and keep spreading the word!
