Offer: ARC of Gone West by Carola Dunn

Item Name & Description: ARC of Gone West by Carola Dunn

ARC of a historical mystery novel with a female amateur detective, set in England in the 1920s.

"In September 1926, the Honourable Daisy Dalrymple Fletcher visits Sybil Sutherby, a school friend now living in Derbyshire as the confidential secretary to a novelist. Suspecting that something is seriously amiss, Sybil has asked Daisy to discreetly investigate. Upon arrival, Daisy finds a household of relatives and would-be suitors living off the hospitality of Humphrey Birtwhistle, who had been supporting them through his pseudonymous Westerns. When he took ill, though, Sybil took over writing them while he recovered, only to see the sales increase. Now, she fears that someone in the household is poisoning Birtwhistle to keep him ill and Sybil writing the better-paying versions. But before Daisy can even get decently underway, Humphrey Birtwhistle dies under suspicious circumstances and Daisy now faces a death to untangle, a house full of suspects and a Scotland Yard detective husband who is less than pleased at this turn of events."

Offer: Lost Girls by Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbie (three-volume set)

Posted on behalf of donor.

Item Name & Description: Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbie's Lost Girls -- three volumes in slipcase, published by Top Shelf in 2006 and now out of print. You can see the front cover of the slipcase on Amazon here; a more recent one-volume edition is described on the Top Shelf website here, with links to reviews. The three volumes are hardcover with dust jackets, and they and the slipcase are in excellent condition. I bought them new in 2007 and they have been read maybe twice, and have not been exposed to smoke or furry animals.

Starting Bid: $30.

Notes: I really wish I could ship anywhere, but since this set is so heavy and large, I can't afford shipping outside the continental U.S. If you have any questions about this offer, please comment on the post or email me and I will answer as soon as I can.

Offer: The Duke & The Pirate Queen by Victoria Janssen, signed, plus draft pages

Item Name & Description: The Duke & The Pirate Queen by Victoria Janssen, signed, plus draft pages

Please note this novel is erotica. Along with the book I will include 10-20 pages of an early draft of the novel - if you've already read the book, you can specify a preference of section. I will sign the pages as well.

Blurb: "Aboard her privateering ship Seaflower, Captain Imena Leung is the law. Ashore she answers only to her liege, Duke Maxime. They are a powerful couple, with an intense attraction neither can disguise nor deny. As a nobleman, Maxime is destined to wed strategically, so his seductive advances must be purely for pleasure. And what self-respecting pirate denies herself any pleasure? Their delicious dalliance is prolonged when Imena is forced to abduct Maxime to thwart a political plot against him. At sea, with a stunningly virile man bound and held in her private quarters, Imena can imagine—and enact—any number of intoxicating scenarios. The heat between captain and captive is matched only by the perils that beset Seaflower and her crew. Violent storms, marauding corsairs and life-or-death sex games on a desert island—how fortunate for the seemingly insatiable lovers that danger and desire go hand-in-hand." (Harlequin Spice, December 2010)

Starting Bid: $10

Notes: I am willing to ship overseas if your winning bid is above $25.
